Our Monday mornings this term YSL will be offering support from the Entrance Vestibule of Southlands Church.

General Access: The Entrance Vestibule is located on the Bishopthorpe Road side of the church. You can come in via the white front doors (knock and we can help you up the steps)
Step free access: Please enter the church carpark from Nunmill Street and skirt round the side of the building to the side door which faces Southlands Road. Once inside the building turn right and walk through the church to find us. In case of building work alternative routes will be signposted

Getting Here
On foot Southlands Church is situated in the South Bank area of York. It is on Bishopthorpe Road, one block south of the main shops, and Close to the Park Cafe entrance of Rowntrees Park.
By Train and bus Southlands church is a 20 minutes walk from York Railway Station (adult pace) and bus routes 21 and 11 stop directly opposite the church (10 minute ride from the station approximately once an hour).
Parking No parking is available at the venue (i.e. the small car park will be full). People with Blue badges can in any park onstreet bay. The Bays directly beside the church on Southlands Road are usually occupied but are free for 1 hour. The closest car parks are the Bishopthorpe Road Shoppers car park, Rowntree park car park and Nunnery Lane car park. On street parking is unrestricted in much of the area between Southbank avenue and Camplesham Road but things do change so please check carefully when leaving your car.
   
Library Session Rules
Responsibility and community: Parents/ Carers are responsible for their children at all times within a session. Please do whatever works for your family to keep as calm and relaxed as possible - including feeding your baby whenever needed. 
The buildings are used by other groups at the same time, please endeavour to follow our directions and signs to minimise disruptions to other groups.  Please keep a close eye out for toddlers who may be exploring.
Drinks and Snacks Please arrive prepared - we will not be able to access the church kitchens during a library session. You are welcome to bring your own nut free snacks and cold drinks with you. Please check with other families before sharing any food. Visitors on Thursdays may wish to access the Planet food cafe in the Church Community Centre. 
Toilets with changing facilities are available. These are accessed from the main foyer near the side entrance of the building.  You are also welcome to use your own change mat in our vestibule space - in which case please take waste home with you. 
Health Considerations
Your health is important to us and library and we will be closed if a member of the duty librarian’s family is poorly. Equally, if you have any symptoms we appreciate your consideration to others.
Please let us know if you can’t return your slings due to illness, or if the sling has been exposed to a transmissible disease (e.g. Chicken Pox, Covid 19 etc). Your health is the priority and no extra fees will be incurred!
